Family photoshoot Wengen on a cloudy day

Wengen is one of my favorite places for family sessions even on gloomy weather days. Because it sits lower than many of the high mountain viewpoints, it often stays clear enough for open valley views even when everything higher up disappears into white cloud. This shoot was a perfect example: a very cloudy day, soft light, and still that classic Wengen atmosphere.

This session with this sweet couple and their beautiful little daughter was genuinely so fun, and you can feel it in the images. My honest secret to good family photos is simple: don’t aim for perfection. Aim to enjoy each other. Play, cuddle, walk, laugh, and let your kid be a kid. When you’re having a good time together, the photos take care of themselves.
