Family photoshoot in Mürren, Switzerland

This family session in Mürren took place on a summer morning, and we got so lucky with the weather. The day was sunny overall, but in the early hours a few clouds rolled in and softened the light, which made such a difference. It took the edge off the strong summer sun and gave us that gentle, flattering look that works so well for natural family photos.

Mürren is one of my favorite places for photoshoots in Switzerland. It does take some effort to reach, but it’s always worth it. The village has that calm, car-free feel, and within a short walk you get open views, clean backgrounds, and space for kids to move. After the photos, it’s also easy to turn the morning into a little family outing, especially with the nearby playground, which is honestly perfect when you’re photographing with children.
