This family photoshoot was captured on a very sunny late afternoon with a family of four kids in Wengen, high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Even at this time of day, the mountains can still be surprisingly bright and hot, and we really felt that summer energy in the best way. We were completely alone at the viewpoint, which made the whole session feel effortless and fun, because the kids could run, play, and be fully themselves without any pressure or distractions. With so much space around us, we focused on real connection and movement rather than perfect posing, and that’s exactly what brought out the most genuine, playful frames. Days like this are also a good reminder that warm, sunny mountain sessions go best when you plan a little: bring water and a small snack, choose comfortable shoes, and pick locations with room to move so the kids can stay happy and the photos stay natural.
